Atmosphere very nice, right on the lake. You can sit outside in a screened porch. Later go for a walk through the park. Much too expensive for what you get!!!

Great food and service. Snowmobile friendly in Winter - enter through lower level if you are coming up from the lake. Sandra makes awesome pies and butter tarts!

Lovely dining in Sundridge. Went for lunch on a weekday and it was very busy! Had the quiche which is a personal sized quiche, served with a side salad and fries! It was a large portion overall.. Especially because the salad bar was also included in the meal. Salad bar has some nice options including beets, chickpeas, cheese, pasta salad, bread, and soup.Very friendly service. Price is excellent for the amount of food and the quality.

Delicious home cooked meals that are served by two wonderful, very professional people (mother and son) team for the summer months. Does your heart good to see a young man helping his mother and truly enjoys what he is doing.

Was pleasantly surprised by this place. The decor is a little out dated. I think it's probably safe to assume it's an older crowd in there most of the time. Having said that, this isn't one of those restaurants that tries to do too much, they stick to what they know and they do a great job. When I placed my order, about 2-3 minutes later I could hear the server telling the chef to give me "two real good looking pieces of fish". They went out of their way to make sure I had a good meal, and from someone who's been to a lot of restaurants, you don't get that same kind of service almost anywhere these days. When you do pop in, make sure you try one of their "Highlander" beers, worth the drive alone in my opinion.

Really enjoyed it and the pie was to die for

We had delicious soup and wraps along with home-brewed coffee and hot chocolate all in a very quaint relaxing little room. A great part of our visit was Burke our waiter; he was friendly and very attentive to our needs. We will go back to Bernards to eat but also because we so enjoyed Bernard. He is a real asset to and Sandra and the restaurant. Margaret & Will

Hubby and I went there to have a tea and ended up with dinners, He had lasagna and I had her Fish & Chips, They were both totally awesome.. Did you know she fillets her own fish for the meals. Omg!! So good.. also had her homemade Raspberry dressing for the salad, love it!!! You really have to check this place out, have gone many times in the past, all the food that we have had has been delicious and great portions.. Going back...

Had lunch their and the homemade soups were great. The sandwich was made with homemade bread and the Ceasar Chicken Wrap was awesome. The prices are fair.

Had tea and treats here with a friend. Great view over Lake Bernard on the patio. Homemade baking was good.Hours are not as posted here, opens at 10:00 (at least on Thursday when we visited) not as times posted on here.Will visit again.

Very cozy, great service and food

This place is a must visit if you are in the area or passing by. Not far off the highway. The food was incredible and very friendly staff

For years i have searched for an item that is on the menu and preparded the way i remember at a very reasonable price. I will return often. I was there with a group and we were all impressed with our meals.

Really enjoyed Bernard's Bistro. Service was friendly and prompt and food was homemade and reasonably priced. We had fish and chips and a chicken caesar wrap with tomato basil soup. Lovely screened in porch overlooking the lake. We will back to try the homemade desserts next time!

Wanted a nice lunch spot - this was just perfect. Home made soup is offered with most choices. Tomato suit was delicious along with an egg salad sandwich on home made bread. My husband's fish and chips was delicious.

Had several nice meals here during our stay at a near by "Inn" enjoyed the lake view and outdoor seating.

Pasta in soup and salad bar over cooked. Friendly helpful service. Large portion size. Try the giant Yorkshire pudding but make sure you have an appetite, its huge and delicious

What a little gem! Little shop tucked away with some great finds, and then enjoy a snack (or larger plate) on the back covered patio, all served with country friendliness and attention!
